Jumbla is looking for a new teacher / professor for our uber-successful Jumbla Academy. You can find out more about the Academy here: https://www.jumbla.com/academy
You will be teaching small groups of 12 aspiring animators looking to break into the animation industry, taking them from recent graduates to studio-ready prospects.
Jumbla Academy spans three semesters per year, each lasting 15 weeks.
To land this gig, you’ll need to be an experienced animation expert (5+ years industry experience), and be confident in your ability to answer any and all of the questions students may have about After Effects, design, illustration and animation in general.
Teaching experience isn’t necessary but may be beneficial – the drive and passion to teach and mentor young aspiring animators is a must.
You will have:
5+ years experience in animation (in studio or as a teacher)
A good folio of work to show your ability to be able to design and animate
Expert knowledge of After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Cinema 4D
Willingness and ambition to learn and teach
A good balance of organisation and creativity
What you will be doing:
Creating and improving course structure
Creating project briefs for students
Delivering quality education from set materials / syllabus
Working with other teachers to create the best program possible
Teaching students the software and a bit of theory behind animation and design
Teach the next wave of animation talent with a course structure that is relevant to the industry today
